Headlines : Architecture Looking Ahead 2012
The Professionals Advisory Council and the Department of Architecture present the 7th annual HEADLINES Exhibit: Coming to Gould Court April 13- 27.
Join us for an opening reception at the CBE Happy Hour on Friday, April 13, from 5-8. There will be food, drinks, live music, and networking opportunities with local professionals and PAC members.
A celebration of the design process, the exhibit highlights architectural projects currently designed by practitioners in the Pacific Northwest. HEADLINES explores the ideas behind design and provides a forum for public discourse between the region’s academic community and practitioners. An overview of the design innovation and influence of local professionals, the two week exhibit offers the public and campus community a preview of future projects to be built regionally, nationally, and globally. The exhibit begins at the UW College of Built Environments, then travels to architecture schools and institutions across the Northwest. Past exhibits have included the work of over 50 local firms, and have traveled to Washington State University, Portland State University, The University of Oregon, Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and Montana State University. This year’s exhibit is made possible by underwriting from ARC Printing, DLR Group, HDR Engineering, Schuchart, Swenson Say Faget, and Via Architecture.
Interested in submitting a project to HEADLINES? The deadline for entries has been extended to April 11. Please visit UWPacHeadlines.groupsite.com for more information.
