Intro to Digi Fab
Introduction to Computer-Aided-Design-and-Fabrication is a seminar focused on developing a framework for understanding the development of specific technologies that have affected how things are made and how things are designed to be made using tools and techniques that are primarily digital in nature. The course format is weekly lectures and corresponding workshop sessions, each on a different material, computer program and digital manufacturing tool. There are six exercises that engage the laser cutter, 3D printer, plasma cutter and CNC router. Computer programs explored include Rhinoceros, BobCAD, RhinoCAM and MasterCAM.
